SOITS holds Microsoft .Net Seminar PDF Print E-mail

Formosa Hall, SBDMC, Subic Bay – The first leg series of seminars to be hosted by SOITS was a tremendous success. Dubbed as “ Microsoft .Net Seminar”, this event was held on June 28, 2008 at the Formosa Hall, SBDMC Bldg., SBIP, Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Two prominent members of the Philippine Net Users Group (PHINUG) community who are experts in Net Technology namely John Patrick Oliveros and Jerome Punzalan were invited as speakers of the significant sessions conducted. Mr. Punzalan presented the fundamental and technical aspect of .Net including the new techniques and tools to play around as a web development platform. On the other hand, Mr. Oliveros provided an in-depth journey to ASP.Net 3.5 in particular with actual simulation of its new features and fascinating capabilities.

Future Information Technology (IT) leaders have emerged again. As one of its commitment to community, SOITS has bestowed the IT Excellence and Leadership Award to five (5) students from Columban College and AMA Computer College on March 31, 2008 and April 18, 2008 respectively. This year awardees are Joanna Marie D. Paguio (BS Information Technology-Columban College), Carla C. Ednave (BS Office Administration-Columban College), Orlando Ruselo D. Cajigal (BS Information Technology- AMA), Leslie Jeanne P. Cerezo (BS Information Technology-AMA) and Rochelle C. Del Carmen (BS Information Technology-AMA). All of them were honored “Cum Laude” by their respective Alma Mater as distinguished achievers in IT discipline. (See more photos at the gallery)
