Olongapo City - On December 6, 2008 at the SOITS Get Together and Election of Officers, the Subic Olongapo IT Society chose once again a new Board of Officers and this time Ms. Neveil De Guzman , owner of the Discover and Explore Computer Center  has been voted as the President for the service Year 2009.

Ms. De Guzman has served the board as Secretary General and has proven her leadership, dedication and full support to continuously fulfill the mission and vision of the organization. On the said date, a new set of officials were officially declared who were as follows:

Vice-President – D'ar P. Corpuz, Printing Images CTC Inc.; Secretary-General - Alvin Dionsay, Olongapo Internet Center; Treasurer - Merjolen Alejo, Gordon College; Board of Director - Ronald Aguirre, Auction.ph ; Board of Director – Nereio  Francia, e-PLDT; Board of Director – Mark Louie Meru, Subic Shipyard and Engineering Inc.,; Board of Director- Norvadez Gonzales, AMA Computer College; and Board of Director(Student Group)  – Marcloyd Mirador , AMA Computer College.

Like Mr. Bayquen,   Mr. Herbert Mendoza automatically assumes the honorary position of Immediate Past President who will serve as the adviser of the board. 

 The new officers promise to do their best effort to maintain the SOITS stature as prime and vibrant IT organization in the locale and continuously promote its advocacy to enhance and improve IT environment in Subic and Olongapo. Kudos to the new officers! 

Olongapo City – After series of effort in working out the “Point Rewards” incentive to be availed by the SOITS members, the MOA between SOITS and Santol Computer Sales and Services has finally signed last October 7, 2008 at the Discover and Explore Computer Centre.  Represented by Mr. Herbert Mendoza and Mr. Norman D. Paguia, SOITS President and Owner of Santol, respectively have affirmed a bilateral agreement in enhancing the functionality of  SOITS ID. Using the said ID, this incentive will be an added privilege as an active member to earn point(s) for every purchase made to Santol Computer Store in single or accumulated count. How does it work? For every point earned by a member, an equivalent point(s) will be earned also by the association which can be converted to certain items that can be raffled or as “free-biz” during seminar, special events and other SOITS gathering.   

To properly guided and know the details, formulated guidelines and mechanics shall be posted at the said store and SOITS website. Likewise, all members will be informed via email.
